Membrane Electrode Assemblies (MEA)

A Membrane Electrode Assembly (MEA) is the core electrochemical component of a fuel cell or electrolyzer, responsible for driving the reactions that separate electrons and generate electrical current. It consists of a polymer electrolyte membrane sandwiched between anode and cathode catalyst layers, often flanked by Gas Diffusion Layers (GDL).
